Touring

The most popular areas visited by guests include The Burren and Cliffs of Moher, Connemara and the Aran Islands, all of which can be visited comfortably on a day trip from the central location of Oranmore. Many guests choose to stay for a number of days so that they can visit all three unique areas. Guests also frequently include a half or full day visit to the lively historical city of Galway. Oranmore

The picturesque village is only a short walk from the Birches B&B along which you can enjoy views across Galway Bay to the hills of County Clare. In the village you will find a variety of pubs and restaurants and also shops, banks (with ATMs) chemists, Post Office etc.. The pubs regularly provide live music including Irish Traditional music.

Also within a few minutes walk is the Omniplex cinema complex and a leisure centre with 10 pin bowling, pool tables and a variety of other activities.

Golf

The Galway Bay Golf course, which has staged a European Tour event and Athenry Golf courses are both within 5 minutes drive. Several other golf courses in the area can be reached within 30 minutes drive.

Horse Riding

A number of riding schools and stables are with 10 Minutes drive.

Sailing

Galway Bay Sailing club is within 5 minutes drive.

Walking

Hill walking and rambling are available in the Burren and Connemara whilst local scenic walks can be enjoyed in Rinville Park and along the coast.
